Following the announcement by the Victorian government of the cancellation of the Australian Grand Prix, for the second year running, activist group save Victorian Events has put to together an event for industry professionals.
“As well as catching up with industry friends and colleagues, this free to attend event is to discuss the future of OUR Event Industry at a really critical time.” Says Save Victorian events co-founder Simon Thewlis
Part of the program for the evening will include an update the group’s efforts to lobby government and build support, followed by a panel discussion to explore ways how Victorian events professionals can mobilise to be part of the solution for events recovery.
“There has never been a time when events have been more needed than now – to bring communities back together again, to help businesses re-engage with their teams, and to restore the confidence in our state.” Says Sime Thewlis.
The event takes place on Monday 19th July at the Timber Yard
