Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA) will stage MEETINGS in Wellington for the first time at the capital city’s new venue, Tākina Wellington Conference and Exhibition Centre.
BEIA Chief Executive Lisa Hopkins says Tākina’s opening in June 2023 is perfect timing for the event. MEETINGS 2022 in Christchurch last month attracted a record 400 buyers, including 110 from Australia, and 210 stands.
“Our attention is now focused on debuting the second of New Zealand’s brand new convention centres, Tākina,” she said.
“We can’t wait to bring New Zealand, Australian and international business event professionals together in Wellington for MEETINGS 2023 on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 June.”
Wellington City Council General Manager – Tākina, Commercial Development, David Perks says Wellington is excited to at last have the opportunity to host MEETINGS and showcase its new venue.
“MEETINGS in Wellington will be the perfect occasion to see the city in action,” said Perks.
Tākina is within easy walking distance of key transport links, entertainment and recreation options, and thousands of accommodation options.
