To help spread the word that Geelong and The Bellarine are open for events, Business Events Geelong has launched a new $30,000 funding program to support events of up to 50 pax.
The campaign is reinforced by the tagline, ‘You Belong in Geelong’.
The grant will be given to the value of $50 per delegate, with EAs, PAs, event managers, and PCOOs encouraged to request funds to cover event expenses.
These could include accomodation, transport, or venue hire costs but are not limited to these categories.
To receive these funds, events must be booked in Geelong, The Bellarine, or Werribee by April 30 2021. The event must take place before December 30 2021. This offer is only available for new bookings.
“Following border closures and mass-scale lockdowns, face-to-face meetings are now more valuable than ever,” said Business Events Geelong Convention Bureau Manager, Mark Day.
For events up to 50 pax, planners must complete the appropriate application form at businesseventsgeelong.com.au
