Hilton Signs First Hilton Garden Inn property in Australia

Hilton today announced the signing of the 108-room Hilton Garden Inn Albany, Western Australia. Hilton Garden Inn Albany is the first Hilton Garden Inn signing in Australia joining Hilton’s existing portfolio of Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton and Curio Collection by Hilton branded hotels across Australia.

Under a management agreement with Foreshore Investments Albany Pty Ltd, Hilton will manage the new-build hotel upon completion in late 2020.

“Hilton Garden Inn has been focused on penetrating new markets and expanding its presence around the globe, so we are thrilled to announce our entry into Australia in partnership with Foreshore Investments,” said John Greenleaf, Senior Vice President, Global Head, Hilton Garden Inn.

Greenleaf added, “With the rise of the middle-class traveller, we believe that the Hilton Garden Inn brand will be extremely well-received in Australia and we look forward to bringing our bright and warm hospitality to travellers visiting the region.”

Albany, in southern West Australia, is a region known for its rugged natural coastal beauty, beaches, abundance of wildlife and national parks. As the oldest colonial settlement in Western Australia, the region also offers multiple heritage attractions including the Museum of Great Southern and Old Gaol Museum.

Hilton Garden Inn Albany will be located on the waterfront next to the new Albany Entertainment Centre.
