One of Australia’s largest LEGO fan expos is bringing jaw-dropping displays and mind-blowing creations to the Brisbane Showgrounds this weekend.

More than 10,000 LEGO enthusiasts of all ages are expected to attend the popular two-day (September 9 and 10) BrisBricks LEGO Fan Expo in the Exhibition Building.

Around 150 exhibitors will showcase the limitless possibilities of LEGO building, with highlights including a 25 metre medieval collaboration complete with castles, knights, dragons and even a glowing lava field.

There will also be an attempt at the world’s longest great ball contraption module and a huge train display with intricate landscapes and moving locomotives which is an annual favourite.

In addition to the displays, the event will feature costumed characters, LEGO retailers, food vendors and more.

Brisbane Showgrounds General Manager of Venue Sales and Marketing Jago Coyle said it was a fantastic family-friendly event.

“This is the second year we’ve hosted the popular BrisBricks LEGO Fan Expo and we’re thrilled to welcome it back to our venue,” he said.

“It’s amazing to see our Exhibition Building transformed into a land of LEGO by creative and talented brick builders from right across Australia.”
