Victoria is proud to announce that Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre (MCEC) is now welcoming people back for live events and experiences.
In line with the Victorian Government’s Public Events Framework, events in the venue can now proceed under the following conditions.
o Events at MCEC are currently limited to 25 per cent of the venue’s seating capacity, up to a maximum of 250 people seated.
o A density limit of one person per four square metres applies to non-fixed seated areas.
o Free-standing events are not permitted for the time being.
o Event capacity will increase over time subject to public health advice, in line with the framework and future easing of restrictions.
MCEC has been doing a lot of work behind the scenes to make their customers’ next experience memorable and safe.
Different times call for different events
MCEC now has dedicated studios from which they can run virtual events.
The venue recently transformed the exhibition bays into a film studio for a Hollywood blockbuster starring Liam Neeson.
And it doesn’t end there! There are a number of exciting activations planned over the coming months with details to be shared soon.
