MEETINGS 2026 set to showcase New Zealand’s expanding conference and events capability

Independent research after MEETINGS 2025 estimated that business generated through the show would result in approximately NZ$110 million in business transactions

More than 1,500 business events professionals will converge on Auckland next week for MEETINGS 2026, New Zealand’s largest business events trade show.

Taking place on 17-18 June at the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC), the event will bring together 600 domestic and international buyers with more than 250 exhibitors representing 18 regions across New Zealand. More than 6,000 pre-scheduled business appointments are expected to take place during the two-day show.

This year’s show carries additional significance as being in the first tranche of major industry events to be staged at the NZICC, which only opened in February.

The exhibition provides destinations, convention bureaux, venues, hotels and event suppliers with a platform to meet directly with buyers responsible for placing conferences, incentive programmes and corporate events. Hosted buyers can undertake up to 32 appointments across the two-day event, creating a highly efficient environment for business development and event sourcing.

For professional event organisers, the event offers a timely opportunity to assess New Zealand’s evolving conference and meetings landscape. Significant investment in recent years has delivered a new generation of convention infrastructure, including the NZICC in Auckland, Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre and Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Independent research after MEETINGS 2025 estimated that business generated through the show would result in approximately NZ$110 million in business transactions between buyers and exhibitors over the subsequent three years.
