More than ever it’s important to recognise the ingenuity, tenacity and excellence of the events Industry

Nigel Collin Chair Meetings & Events Australia "If anyone believes their events have been a success, for themselves, their organisation and their clients, MEA would love them to nominate for an award"

More than ever before it is important as an industry that we recognise and promote the varied collection of events that our industry ran during the past year and highlight the creativity, ingenuity, and tenacity it took to deliver them under such challenging circumstances.

Because of this, Meetings & Events Australia continues to support the industry by holding their 2020 National Awards.

Virtual, hybrid, the emergence of studio and broadcast events, are all part of the new way of working, and therefore all included in this year’s awards.

Whatever the event was, whatever it took to deliver it, we want to hear from event professionals and tell their story – as they are all a huge achievement in how we now run events.

To reflect the changing nature of the industry, for this year’s awards we have introduced Event Freelance of the Year and most categories have been changed to include virtual, digital and hybrid events to ensure everyone can enter.

We know how difficult the year has been, we know that we have high expectations of ourselves and the events we run. This year’s awards celebrate not only outcomes but importantly the effort, change and dynamic nature we had to work through to come up with new ideas and unique ways of delivering events that most of us had not done before.

If anyone believes their events have been a success, for themselves, their organisation and their clients, MEA would love them to nominate for an award.

Now is time to be proud of what we have achieved, and of the amazing work that has taken place, under exceptional circumstances.

Nominations for the awards close March 1, 2021 (midnight)
