New event spaces at Royal Botanic Garden Sydney

Two versatile event spaces have opened at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, just minutes from the CBD

Two versatile event spaces have opened at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, just minutes from the CBD.

The Garden Gallery and Gadi Seminar Rooms are located within the Robert Brown Building, named after Scottish botanist Robert Brown, and will be serviced by the award-winning Laissez-faire Catering.

The Garden Gallery space combines natural light and an airy atmosphere, and features artworks from emerging artists. The Gadi Seminar Rooms are surrounded by the lush greenery of the Gardens and are naturally lit.

Venue sales manager at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, Holly McDougall, says the new spaces are a welcome addition to Sydney’s business event scene, meeting the growing demand for spaces that foster positive wellbeing and a collaborative culture.

“These new venues are immersive experiences where the beauty of the gardens meets state-of-the-art facilities,” she said.

“Our goal is to inspire creativity and innovation by providing an environment that merges natural light with greenery and art.”

Laissez-faire Catering, general manager, Sara Flaskbard, said the addition of these two new event spaces now provides the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney with a full complement of venues for groups of all shapes and sizes.

“We can do larger scale dinners and cocktail parties at The Calyx and provide exceptional catering for smaller meetings and gatherings in these wonderful new spaces,” she said.

The Calyx is the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney flagship venue, boasting stunning architecture and one of the largest green walls in the southern hemisphere.  It can cater for events up to 400.
