New GM appointed for Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali

Michael Gaehler has been appointed as the new general manager of Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali.

Gaehler has more than 33 years of experience in the high end hospitality sector, working at Oriental Residences Bangkok and multiple Regent Hotels & Resorts’ across the region.

Michael began his hotel career as a chef in his home town of Zurich, Switzerland after graduating from the Swiss Hotel Management School Belvoirpark, transitioning to broader food and beverage roles at some of Europe’s leading boutique hotels such as Villa il Tessoro in Tuscany, Hotel Le Vieux Manoir in Murten and Hotel Giardino in Ascona.

He then moved to Asia and the Jia Causeway Bay in Hong Kong and GMH’s The Chedi Chiang Mai, later assisting with the launch of GMH’s Ananti Kumgang Mountain in North Korea, the country’s first five-star resort.
