New Zealand BEIA conference put back by 3 weeks.

Lisa Hopkins BEIA CEO "We believe this will be the most important and critical conference in the history of our organisation"

Despite New Zealand being in a grip of a lockdown, organisers of its Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA) Conference 2021 have been as bold as the theme of the event and postponed the event by just three weeks, which will now take place from 1st to 3rd November in Hawke’s Bay.

BEIA members are keen to go ahead with the conference and the organisation’s chief executive Lisa Hopkins believes that after a period of lockdown, meeting face-to-face is more important for the industry than ever before.

“With the theme ‘BEing Brave, Bold and Ready’, the programme is highly relevant in this challenging time of change,” said Hopkins.

“We looked at feedback from past conference delegate surveys and from this year’s programme committee and the message was consistent—our members want to spend time with one another as industry leaders to solve problems, realise potential opportunities and celebrate everything that is great about our sector,” she said.

“We believe this will be the most important and critical conference in the history of our organisation, and we invite all members to be part of the conversation and solutions for the future of our industry.”

Delegates who have already registered will have their registration rolled over to the new dates, with a range of accommodation on offer for the new dates.

The announcement comes less than two weeks after organisers of Australasian business events exhibition ‘Get Local’ rescheduling to 15th February, due to lockdowns and restrictions in Sydney.
