Novotel St Kilda has reopened following a major transformation, bringing a substantially expanded meetings and events offering to Melbourne’s bayside precinct.
The 80-room hotel on Fitzroy Street has been completely redesigned by owner ERDI and forms part of the wider $196 million St Kilda Collective investment aimed at revitalising the area.
For event organisers, one of the most significant changes is the expanded function space. The hotel now offers a ballroom accommodating up to 120 guests, a boardroom for 26 with its own private courtyard and a Level Five rooftop event space for cocktail functions of up to 150 guests. Residential conference packages and full hotel buy-outs are also available.
All 80 rooms and suites have been redesigned, while a light-filled internal garden atrium has been introduced among the public areas.
The redevelopment also includes Urban Kitchen & Bar, an all-day restaurant combining Italian and contemporary Australian influences, centred around a wood-fired oven imported from Verona and showcasing Victorian produce and wines.
Located close to St Kilda Beach, the Palais Theatre and Luna Park, the refreshed property provides an alternative to Melbourne CBD hotels for smaller conferences, corporate retreats and incentive groups.
