The Professional Conference Organisers Association (PCOA) has announced that their 14th annual conference, originally due to take place in 2021 but delayed to 22nd January, has been postponed again, this time by 11 months.
PCOA president Barry Neame said the postponement decision was based on the COVID situation in most Australian states. “There’s natural concern from key stakeholders about the safety and wellbeing of attendees, continued uncertainty around travel & potential isolation, and the threat to members’ businesses and employee’s availability for future work”.
The PCOA annual conference will be held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, Hobart, Tasmania from 11-13 December 2022. Mr Neame said “we hope that by then there will be no barriers to safely attending the conference and reconnecting with our colleagues within the industry.
At the time of writing there are no published tentative dates for the 2023 PCOA conference.
