The sad news of the sudden loss of Tim Birley, National Business Development Manager at Pan Pacific Hotels, has been received with shock by the business events community.
Tim was a much loved colleague and friend to many in the events and wider hospitality sector, and only recently was celebrating reconnecting with industry peers at the Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event AIME in Melbourne.
Tim was a legend in the Australian hospitality and MICE industry. He was the ultimate professional, passionate about the career he had chosen and the people he worked with. But more than this, Tim was known for his great big smile, sharp sense of humour, his kindness and friendship.
Our sympathies go to his industry colleagues, family and friends.
