Tourism Australia releases latest research on confidence for corporate events

Although a modest 29% state that some future events are likely to be interstate, it’s highest level since Business Events Australia started the surveys in August 2020

The business events end of Tourism Australia, Business Events Australia has published the findings of its latest research into Australian corporate event decision makers’ attitudes on restarting their events.

Whilst the overall findings may not come as a surprise, the research confirms that despite the recent lockdowns and restrictions, Corporate Australia is keen to get back to face to face events.

Over eight out of ten (81%) respondents are planning events within one to two years, which is up 6% from May. And although a modest 29% state that some future events are likely to be interstate, it’s highest level since Business Events Australia started the surveys in August 2020.

The findings suggest that the effects of recent lockdowns have made an impact on domestic events planned within the next 12 months, with only 62% of the respondents planning events within this period, which is the lowest level since October 2020.
