
Accor has announced a series of new general managers across for a number of Australian venues and hotels.
Joshua Lusty has been appointed General Manager at ibis Budget Wentworthville in NSW. Joshua started his career with Accor in 2012 as Front Office All Rounder at Pullman, Novotel & ibis Sydney Olympic Park. He worked as a Receptionist at ibis Budget St. Peters, Mercure Parramatta and ibis Sydney Airport before being promoted to Assistant Manager at ibis Sydney Airport. In 2017 Joshua was the Live-in Manager at ibis Budget St. Peters and later joined The William Inglis – MGallery by Sofitel as Assistant Manager, which was his last assignment.
Maria Seroukas has been appointed General Manager at Mantra City Central in Melbourne. In her last role, Maria worked as a Front Office Manager at Mantra St Kilda Road. Over the past 9 years, Maria has steadily developed her professional skills and experience since her commencement as Food and Beverage Team Leader at Mantra on Little Bourke. Maria is a well-respected leader with a strong passion for hospitality and service excellence.
Alison Baker has been appointed General Manager at BreakFree Adelaide. Prior to this, Alison has held the roles of General Manager at Mantra on Frome and Hotel Manager at Breakfree Director Studios in Adelaide. Prior to this, she held the position of Area Revenue Manager for Apartments & Leases in South Australia and also held multi-property Revenue positions with Accor in the past.
Tate Manduku has been appointed General Manager at BreakFree on George in Sydney. Tate brings with him a wealth of experience, most recently working as Operations Manager at Fraser Suites Sydney. He is a passionate Hotelier with focus on service and has won the “AHA Hotel Industry Rising Star” award in 2011 from the TAA. In 2015, he received the “Highly Recommended Front Office Manager” award at the HM Awards.
Cameron Baker has been appointed General Manager at Mantra Lorne. Prior to this he was General Manager at The Sebel Melbourne Docklands and The Sebel Residences Melbourne Docklands, where he was managing 200 apartments across multiple buildings under Accor’s Franchise agreement with Altitude Hotel Group. Throughout his career with Accor, Cameron has developed a strong food and beverage management background and particularly loves the challenge of running large conference facilities.
