Executive PA Media’s Amber Stanley caught up with Matt Pearce who is CEO of Talk2 Media, the organisation that organises AIME for the Melbourne Convention Bureau
Matt explains how his team has innovated to increase the size of the show by an extra 200 exhibitors to incorporate more content for corporate event attendees, and gives his thoughts on the the reasons for the increased appetite for business events.
He doesn’t see the supposed economic downturn reflected in the events that his business organises. “Post COVID people understand the need for face to face at an event, if they are not in the office as often as they used to be.” He says
Matt understands the importance of executive assistants in the business events ecosystem “EAs don’t see themselves as event planners, yet they probably do more events than some event planners.” He says.
