Air New Zealand CEO resigns, hinting at a career in politics

After a seven year stint at the top job, Air New Zealand Chief Executive Christopher Luxon announced this week that he is stepping down to “reflect on what he will do next.”

Luxon will officially leave the job on 15 September, and take the summer off to consider his options.

“I would like to think more about how I can best use my skills, abilities and experience to make a further contribution to the success of New Zealand whether that be through corporate life, politics or a not for profit,” Luxon said in a statement on Wednesday.
