Brisbane has secured the Land Forces 2030 International Land Defence Exposition, adding another major international event to Queensland’s business events calendar.
The Queensland Government has also secured first right of refusal to host the 2032 edition, potentially establishing Brisbane as a long-term destination for one of the region’s leading defence industry exhibitions.
The announcement follows the 2026 Land Forces exhibition in Perth, which attracted more than 900 participating companies from Australia and overseas.
Held every two years, Land Forces brings together defence manufacturers, technology developers, military representatives, government officials and industry leaders to showcase new equipment, exchange knowledge and explore commercial opportunities.
The event combines a major trade exhibition with conferences, presentations, industry networking and business meetings, attracting participants from across the international defence sector.
The exhibition win comes as Brisbane continues to strengthen its position in the international business events market ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Major conferences and exhibitions are an important part of that strategy, delivering visitor expenditure while creating opportunities for investment, trade and collaboration.
The potential to host both the 2030 and 2032 editions would also provide the destination with an opportunity to develop longer-term relationships with exhibitors, sponsors and industry organisations.
