Darling Harbour waterfront development to deliver major new Sydney events venue

The Darling Harbour venue will be close to the International Convention Centre Sydney and major CBD hotels

Hospitality group Doltone House has unveiled development plans for a Sydney Darling harbour based, large-scale events venue.

The new venue will form part of the broader Harbourside redevelopment, a multibillion-dollar project reshaping a key section of Darling Harbour into a mixed-use waterfront precinct incorporating hospitality, retail, commercial and residential space.

Doltone House has confirmed the new venue will span approximately 4,500 square metres, positioning it among the largest premium non-hotel event spaces in Sydney’s CBD.

Designed to accommodate conferences, gala dinners, exhibitions and large corporate functions, the venue is expected to feature multiple flexible event rooms, waterfront dining spaces, outdoor terraces and advanced audiovisual capability.

Doltone House CEO and Managing Director Biaggio Signorelli said the project represents a significant investment in Sydney’s future events infrastructure.

“This venue will deliver a world-class experience in one of Sydney’s most iconic waterfront locations,” he said.

The venue’s position within Darling Harbour places it close to the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), major CBD hotels and transport infrastructure, creating opportunities for complementary use alongside existing conference facilities.

The inclusion of multiple event formats within a single venue is expected to appeal to organisations seeking integrated solutions for conferences, networking events and executive functions.
