Suppliers looking for a more efficient way to connect with qualified executive assistants are being encouraged to secure their place at the Melbourne Executive PA Summit on 23 July, following strong feedback from delegates who attended previous events.
One of those delegates was Toni Harbottle, Executive Assistant to the CEO of AMS Group, who attended last year’s Summit and said the event delivered valuable supplier connections alongside professional development opportunities.
For suppliers, Harbottle’s feedback reinforces what makes the Summit different from traditional exhibitions and trade shows. Rather than hoping the right buyers walk past a stand, suppliers are matched with executive assistants who have a genuine interest in their products and services.
Harbottle said her one-on-one meetings provided an opportunity to have meaningful conversations and gain information that could directly benefit her organisation.
“The meetings have been great,” she said. “Really good connections and getting information and just having that one-on-one time to really find out how they can help the AMS Group.”
Importantly for suppliers, those conversations translated into genuine business opportunities.
When asked whether she anticipated doing business with suppliers she met during the event, Harbottle’s response was unequivocal.
“Absolutely, 100%,” she said.
Her comments highlight the core value of the Executive PA Summit format. Buyers attend because they are actively sourcing venues, accommodation, speakers, team-building activities, transport, co-working spaces, business travel, event services, and other services. Suppliers, meanwhile, benefit from a diary of pre-scheduled appointments with decision-makers and influencers who regularly place business.
The Summit also provides suppliers with the opportunity to build relationships in a relaxed environment that extends beyond the meeting table. Shared professional development sessions, meals and networking functions create additional touchpoints throughout the day.
Harbottle said she particularly valued the combination of learning and networking, describing the event as a “good mix of personal development as well as networking”.
That environment helps suppliers engage with buyers in a more meaningful way and gain a deeper understanding of their organisations’ requirements and future projects.
The Melbourne Executive PA Summit on 23 July will bring together a qualified audience of executive assistants, personal assistants, office managers and event organisers from organisations across Victoria.
For suppliers seeking a productive business development day, the Summit offers a rare opportunity to meet multiple qualified buyers face-to-face, build relationships and generate new business opportunities from a single day out of the office.
