Hilton to return to Adelaide with new flagship hotel, operated by Trilogy

The hotel is expected to attract both corporate and leisure travellers

Hilton is set to return to the Adelaide market, with a new-build flagship hotel planned for the city’s East End as part of a major mixed-use development.

The 27-storey Hilton Adelaide East End will be developed at 299 Pirie Street and operated by Trilogy Hotels. The 251-room property will form part of Arcadia, a contemporary precinct designed to revitalise Adelaide’s eastern CBD.

The project marks a significant milestone for Hilton, signalling the brand’s re-entry into South Australia.

Hilton Australasia’s Director of Development, Tushar Raniga, said the signing represents both a symbolic and strategic move for the company. “The return of Hilton to Adelaide is both a symbolic and strategic milestone,” he said. “This project allows us to reintroduce Hilton Hotels & Resorts as a modern, design-led flagship aligned with Adelaide’s growth and evolving skyline.”

Positioned just over one kilometre from Rundle Mall and Adelaide’s East End precinct, the hotel is expected to attract both corporate and leisure travellers, supported by strong transport links and a growing mix of dining and cultural venues.

The hotel will feature guest rooms ranging from 31 to 140 square metres, alongside a recreation deck, multiple food and beverage venues and 303 square metres of meeting space. A fitness centre and pool will round out the offering.

For Trilogy Hotels, the appointment continues its growth as a local operator. CEO Scott Boyes said the project highlights the strength of the partnership. “Every great city needs a Hilton hotel, and we are honoured to have been appointed…,” he said. “By combining Trilogy’s local expertise… along with Hilton’s powerful loyalty program, the hotel will set a new benchmark for quality and service in Adelaide.”

Set to open in 2031, the hotel will join Hilton’s global network and Hilton Honors program, positioning it to capture demand from both domestic and international travellers as Adelaide’s business events and tourism sectors continue to grow.
