Victorian Tourism Conference 2021 releases a line up of event professionals ready to educate event planners and organisers in the industry

Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) has been working closely with Visit Victoria and the Victorian Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) on the Victorian Tourism Conference 2021 – which will bring together tourism, events and hospitality industries at a time when it’s needed most.

Over two days at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), supply-side of the industry will connect and collaborate on big picture ideas and practical advice on reigniting Victoria’s visitor economy and business in 2021.

Under the theme of Shaping the future of Victorian tourism, hear from industry leaders, exchange stories of innovation, and reconnect at an evening function hosted by VTIC in partnership with Showtime Events Group at Cargo Hall and Melbourne Public, South Wharf.

An exciting program has been developed, led by MC Holly Ransom, CEO of Emergent and a global strategist on inter-generational leadership and influential line up of keynote speakers and presenters.

MCB Chief Executive Julia Swanson will be joining a panel of experts including MCEC’s CEO Peter King, Marriner Group CEO, Jason Marriner, and Visit Victoria’s Director of Major Events Damien de Bohun in the session: The lights are back on: Victoria leads the way in sport, culture, arts, music, innovation and knowledge.

The session will explore how Victoria’s world class event calendar remains critical to the success of the Victoria’s visitor economy recovery and what this means to the Victorian events supply chain.

MCB will also host a breakout session – Business events: how to leverage this lucrative market for your business facilitated by MCB’s General Manager – Sales, Beverley Williamson and feature discussion from Ian McDougal, Business Development Executive – Tourism, Chadstone The Fashion Capital and Jenny Mitten, Director of Marketing & Communications, MCB.
