
Audio-visual and event staging services provider Microhire, has been appointed AV partner with the newly refurbished and rebranded InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach. The appointment is the first IHG Hotels & Resorts property to be added to their portfolio of venue partners.
The property has a selection of twelve purpose-built meeting rooms and versatile function areas with light-filled spaces and uninterrupted views of Coogee Beach including Rick Stein Restaurant, Shutters Restaurant and the Leisure Pool Deck. This allows the hotel to offer flexibility, multiple formats and room configurations to for event organisers.
The Grand Ballroom features an ultra-wide high definition 10M LED Wall and dual laser projectors and projection screens providing flexible room configurations, whilst ensuring presentations remain sharp with clear sightlines for guests. Paired with moving LED lights and table spotlights for creative projection effects, this space transforms into a high-impact visual display to enhance the environment for any gala or special event.
Using the latest advancements in technology, AI-powered 4K PTZ tracking video cameras ensure seamless, high-quality video capture using advanced body recognition algorithms – a technological marvel. Expertly engineered audio systems ensure crystal clear sound from every angle, while wireless access points and advanced controls provide seamless integration to support hybrid events and modern meetings.
Microhire’s exclusive ‘EngageME’ software provides user-friendly connectivity via wall mounted tablets and empowers guests to effortlessly contact the resort’s team and Microhire’s crew directly from their room.
The technology upgrade in the Centennial Ballroom features three 3M wide high-definition LED screens, designed to optimise viewpoints and sightlines for attendees. Full range ceiling speakers, AI-powered PTZ tracking video cameras, and intelligent moving LED lights are thoughtfully engineered and installed to maximise the floorplan and deliver the ultimate event experience with creativity and precision.
