The Northern Territory Government has officially established the inaugural Advisory Board for Tourism and Events NT, marking a significant development in the Territory’s business-events and visitor economy strategy.
Announced by Northern Territory Minister for Tourism, Hospitality and Major Events, Marie-Clare Boothby, the board formally commenced work on 1 January 2026. It has been created to support the newly formed entity Tourism and Events NT, which consolidates the previous Tourism NT and NT Major Events Company into a single body focused on enhancing and promoting the Territory’s tourism and major event capability.
Board Leadership & Members
Paul Ah Chee has been appointed Chair.
Members include Amy Hill, Brett Mitchell, Hayley Richards, Lisa Pile, Penny Priest GAICD, Suzana Bishop EMBA GAICD and Tim McColl Jones — a mix of local, interstate and internationally experienced professionals from the tourism, travel, events and visitor economy sectors.
