The new five-star Marriott hotel under development in Parramatta is planning an extensive food, beverage and entertainment offering, including a public rooftop bar, exclusive guest lounge and extended trading hours.
The 275-room property at 83 Church Street is expected to open in 2027, adding another major international hotel brand to Western Sydney’s expanding accommodation market.
Details of the proposed hospitality facilities have emerged through a development application lodged with Parramatta City Council, outlining plans for the hotel’s licensed venues.
Among the proposed attractions is Aqua Bar, a public bar on level 12 that will welcome hotel guests and visitors, offering cocktails, wines and other beverages.
A separate M Club Lounge will provide an exclusive facility for hotel guests, adding to the property’s premium accommodation offering.
The application seeks approval for indoor hotel venues to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, while outdoor bar areas would be permitted to trade between 6am and midnight.
Permission is also being sought for live music performances in both indoor and outdoor hospitality areas.
The proposed arrangements remain subject to the planning approval process.
Developed in partnership with property group JQZ, the Marriott will also feature a rooftop swimming pool, pool bar, fitness centre and extensive meeting and function facilities.
The development forms part of a broader transformation of Parramatta’s southern CBD, where improvements to streets, pedestrian connections, public spaces and hospitality offerings are intended to encourage greater activity.
With Western Sydney International Airport preparing to commence passenger operations, the Marriott will be among several new hotels positioning themselves to accommodate the region’s anticipated growth in business and leisure travel.
