Pullman Brisbane King George Square has bolstered its executive team with the appointments of Andrew Hodson as Director of Sales and Paul Ison as Director of Marketing, reinforcing the hotel’s commercial leadership as it looks ahead to a strong year of growth. They join executive assistant manager Jefferson Lagarde and front office manager Thomas Annand who were appointed in August 2025 and January 2026
The two latest appointments bring significant industry experience to the Brisbane CBD property, which is one of the city’s largest hotels and a key player in the corporate, conference and events market.
Hodson joins the hotel with a background in hotel sales and business development across major brands and markets. In his new role, he will lead the property’s sales strategy, focusing on driving corporate, group and conference business while strengthening relationships with key clients and industry partners. His remit includes overseeing the sales team and identifying opportunities to grow revenue across multiple market segments.
Ison steps into the role of Director of Marketing, where he will be responsible for shaping the hotel’s brand positioning and marketing strategy. With experience across hospitality and related sectors, he will lead campaigns designed to increase visibility, support sales activity and enhance the hotel’s presence in a competitive market. His responsibilities also include managing digital strategy, partnerships and promotional initiatives.
Pullman Brisbane King George Square’s General Manager, Nic O’Donnell, welcomed the appointments, noting the impact both executives are expected to have on the business. He said the strengthened leadership team is already contributing to positive momentum across the property and positioning the hotel for a strong year ahead.
“We’re seeing great energy across the team and both Andrew and Paul have hit the ground running,” O’Donnell said. “Their combined experience and fresh perspective are already helping to drive performance and support our ambitions for the year.”
The appointments come as the hotel continues to focus on rebuilding and expanding its market share, with renewed demand across corporate travel and group business. As one of Brisbane’s most established large-scale hotels, Pullman Brisbane King George Square plays a central role in the city’s accommodation and meetings landscape.
With Hodson leading sales strategy and Ison driving marketing initiatives, the hotel is aiming to strengthen its commercial performance while maintaining its position as a leading full-service hotel in the Brisbane market.
